Processing Time

• Malawi conference visas fall under the ‘Tourist visa’ category. E-Visa applications are processed  within three (3) working days for most nationalities. Some nationalities can take up to (15) working days. However, please note that the visa validity period is 3 months from the date of issue. We therefore advise that participants who plan to attend in-person apply in April 2023.

Health

• COVID-19 vaccination certificates are currently requested at immigration checks in Malawi. For this reason, participants flying to Malawi are encouraged to meet the full vaccination procedures in their countries of residence.

  If you are not fully vaccinated, the Government of Malawi states that incoming travellers can present negative PCR-based COVID-19 certificates that are not more than 72 hours old at the time of arrival in Malawi (this may change depending on up-to-date Information for COVID-19 requirements). Participants should please check for updates on the Government of Malawi Website
